agree Marcelo Viera : You should contact your client anyway to be sure that it was the message he was trying to send because in the résumé he was referring to IT projects and immediately after that he states the "giving back activities" remark.

Thanks Marcelo. The CV does state that the person was the leader of the two types of activity, so it is not so incongruous.

You should talk to your client asking him/her to be more specific about the kind of activities he/she is trying to describe.
Let him notice your interest in translating exactly what he wanted to communicate. Do not take the risk of guessing.
