Lisa McCarthy (asker) Jan 12, 2009:
oops, then I'm back to my original confusion over the matter of years! :-) And therefore the suggestions offered don´t really fit well here.
LangSolutions Jan 12, 2009:
I doesn't mean team members, that was how I read it. The more I think about it, beer pumps sounds more likely.
Lisa McCarthy (asker) Jan 12, 2009:
Hi Richard - Thanks for clearing that up - I didn´t realise 'tiradores' also meant team members. It is given the meaning 'pumps' in an earlier paragraph and hence my confusion:
"es una empresa pensada y creada para desarrollar y fabricar cualquier tipo de **tirador de cerveza** imaginado. "
LangSolutions Jan 12, 2009:
Hi Lisa. Right. The way I read it was that 'tiradores' were members of the team. It can also refer to beer pumps,of course, which is the cause of the confusion, I suppose, isn't it?
Frank Foley Jan 12, 2009:
I wouldn't ignore "de media": I think it means "on average". :-)
Lisa McCarthy (asker) Jan 12, 2009:
Thanks Richard - from the way it's written it looks like the years refer to the 'implantación en el mercado' and not the 'equipo'. Should be a comma after 'mercado' then?
LangSolutions Jan 12, 2009:
and I would ignore 'de media'
LangSolutions Jan 12, 2009:
Hi Lisa, I think it means that their team members have between 4 and 8 years of experience in that market, i.e. none of them have less than 4 and none more than 8. Good luck.
Lisa McCarthy (asker) Jan 12, 2009:
Hi there - thanks for suggestions - I´m a bit confused by the 'four and eight years' part. Is this not strange? "....in the market ......between 4 and 8 years????? Is it 4 years or 8? I don´t get it. Can anybody enlighten me?

experience in the market

an option as it refers to number of years
Peer comment(s):

agree Frank Foley : Yep, works much better in the sentence than the others, "with an average (de media) of between 4 and 8 years experience"

Thanks, average does sound strange though when there's a four year difference.

product life cycle

It means the pumps/pullers are designed to be used/marketed for 4-8 years (on average), and then replaced with a new design.
"Market presence" might work also.
