more context I should have included a bit more context. The "eso" is religion:

I think Moroccans are less inclined to ask for citizenship as they think their culture is further away from the Spanish one - different religion, language,... I agree with jennifer in that we need more context, but i'm inclined to take 'culture' here in the anthropological sense. The sentence below suggests that an individual with no studies of any kind (uneducated) only has its own culture, what he's learnt since a lttle child.

More context It is a very odd sentence. I don't know what "eso" is, or what "él" is. I think we need more of the surrounding text to try and figure out what they are trying to say.
