Date and place are not final... Nov 6, 2005

I have talked to Wenjer this morning about the topics: Association for Taiwanese Freelancers and CAT. They seem to be of common interest. We could meet at a beautiful lake side of Sa-hu-li Culture Park, and then picnic at my place...
But, on the other hand, we certainly can held the meeting in Taipei or anywhere else as well. Even the date is tentative, and needs to be discussed.

Wenjer wrote very interesting article on marketing. http://www.proz.com/topic/38876(in Chinese). I don't mind put this one as an additional topic on the agenda. Because it is soooo important to do marketing. With the right market, you may save two third of your working time to earn the same. We are individuals, not easy to get to the right market place. Share our experience seems to be good for all of us.

Please keep in mind that a lot of us are out of town or on holiday during Chinese New Year. How about changing the date?

Though any date and any place would be all right for me, I can understand that Feb. 01 could be inconvenient for some colleagues, especially for those who have a regular work. For this reason, I would suggest an alternative date and place. How about Saturday, Feb. 04 or Sunday Feb. 05 at Humanity Space, Taipei, just like last Meeting?

You can check with http://www.safulakart.com/ to find out what I suggested! In fact there is a Fu-shing train from Sung-shan at 6:56 am, that is 7:08 am from Taipei to Shang-yuan (Ne-wan line) and arriving at about 9:00. At 5:00 pm is another one back to Sung-shan via Tao-yuan and TPE. It is a 10 min drive (I would offer the lift, if not too much people) to the art park, where some nic... See more

At my place, if people are interested, I could show how I use trados 6.5 and star-transit 3.0 PE and what I am thinking about them...

The hotel at a lake side I was talking about is one not far from Hsinchu Technology Park. I forget the name of it. I was there for three days visit to a client of mine in the Park and the client booked for me at the hotel. It is also a nice place, but not so much as the one you choose.

I will not be around during from 27.Jan.-5. Feb. However since you're planning a one or two day meeting, I doubt I will be likely to attend. I can spare one evening, but one day is too long for me. Sorry...

No problem. We are just trying to figure out when and for how long we could schedule the meeting. If the most people agree with the place for Feb. 1, 2006, well, pity that you couldn't be with us. It would be a pity, because you could have a lot to tell us about CAT tools.

There are about 400 companies concentrated in the sip, doing a worldwide business of about one trillion NT a year. Think of that.
I myself have made positive experience with one of the firms in there, too. They can, and are willing to, pay for quality work. That is another reason which makes our meeting in Hsinchu interesting!
