Bio

At a young age, my journey into language began with a passion for translating songs, driven by the desire to understand the lyrics of my favorite bands. In 1986, when I moved to the United States, a new calling emerged as I found myself assisting family and neighbors as an interpreter for medical appointments and paperwork.

Over the years, I explored various professions until I found my niche. For more than a decade, I served as a telephone interpreter, achieving national certification along the way. Additionally, I worked on-site, handling interpretations consecutively and simultaneously across different fields, both as an individual and collaboratively with colleagues.

What initially started as a love for translating songs has evolved into a fulfilling career translating diverse documents. The richness of topics offered by the profession captivates me, and I find joy in the work.

My journey as a linguistic professional has been a fascinating one, introducing me to numerous remarkable people, scenarios, and places. Along the way, I encountered community leaders whose wisdom taught me that being an interpreter was not enough—I needed to be a liaison. As a liaison, I developed a passion for supporting and enhancing community visibility and well-being, evolving into an active activist and community leader.

With a commitment to professionalism and cultural understanding, I strive to provide clear communication and effective engagement with underserved community groups. My goal is to enable clients and providers to reach a wider range of residents, breaking down communication barriers.

Being an immigrant myself, I feel a profound debt to the community. Thus, I have embraced the role of a liaison, offering language, cultural contextualization, and interpretation services to local agencies, organizations, companies, and private entities. My intention is to improve communication, foster understanding, and promote civic engagement within the community.
