Source text - English ARBITRATION. (REPUBLIC 0F IRELAND). All differences arising out of this Policy shall be referred to the decision of an Arbitrator to be appointed in writing by the parties thereto or if they cannot agree upon a single Arbitrator to the decision of two Arbitrators, one to be appointed in writing by each of
the parties or in the case of disagreement between the Arbitrators, to the decision of an Umpire appointed in writing by the Arbitrators before entering on the reference and the making of the award shall be a condition precedent to any liability of the Company or any right of action against the Company.
If the Company shall disclaim liability to the insured for any claim and such claim shall not within twelve calendar months from the date of such disclaimer have been referred to Arbitrators, under the provision herein contained, then the claim shall for all purposes be deemed to have been abandoned and shall not thereafter be recoverable hereunder.
ARBITRATION. (UNITED KINGDOM). If any differences shall arise as to the amount be paid under this Policy (liability being otherwise admitted) such difference shall be referred to an Arbitrator to be appointed by the parties in accordance with the statutory provisions in that behalf for the time being in force. Where any difference is by this condition to be referred to arbitration the making of an Award shall be a condition precedent to any right of action against the Company.
Translation - Spanish ARBITRAJE. (REPÚBLICA DE IRLANDA). Toda diferencia que surja de esta Póliza será sometida a la decisión de un Árbitro designado por escrito por las partes o, si no pueden acordar la designación de un único Árbitro, a la decisión de dos Árbitros cada uno designado por escrito por cada una de las partes. En caso de desacuerdo entre los Árbitros, se remitirá a la decisión de un tercer Árbitro dirimente designado por escrito por los Árbitros antes de comenzar las actuaciones, y el laudo arbitral será una condición precedente para cualquier responsabilidad de la Compañía o para cualquier derecho a promover acción legal en contra de la Compañía.
Si la Compañía deslinda responsabilidades hacia el asegurado por cualquier reclamo, y tal reclamo no ha sido remitido a los Árbitros en los doce meses calendario siguientes contados desde la fecha de dicho deslinde de responsabilidades, en base en las estipulaciones contenidas en esta póliza, entonces el reclamo será considerado como abandonado a todos los efectos y no será recuperable por la presente de ahí en adelante.

Si surge cualquier diferencia en relación con el monto a pagar bajo esta Póliza (habiéndose asumido la responsabilidad), tal diferencia será remitida a un Árbitro a ser designado por las partes conforme a las estipulaciones estatutarias a ese respecto que se encuentren vigentes en ese momento. Source text - English Training required for the Skilled Technician.
The Skilled Technical Personnel is required to have specific instruction for working on the hoist and a basic technical training with experience in electrical plant engineering, electro-mechanics and mechanics. Such personnel must be qualified to operate on the electrical system in compliance with legal regulations and provisions in force. The personnel must know the limits of use and the uses classified as improper.
The Skilled Technician must be instructed on the hoist operation, safety devices installed and their correct use, the procedures to be used in case of cage stop on the path or emergency stop due to the operation of one or two safety devices. He must be informed on how to remove mostly common failures and the maintenance schedules established by the Manufacturer. Such training is to be performed by the skilled personnel of the Manufacturer or its authorized representative, upon delivery of the hoist.
The Skilled Technician must perfectly know the applicable laws and regulations for accident prevention, must be authorized to act on the plant and must underwrite that he has been instructed by the Manufacturer's skilled technical personnel and he has read and understood the content of this manual along with the technical documentation attached to the order. Whenever it is required to act on the plant, in case of operating faults, or when the scheduled maintenance is to be executed, it is necessary to ask for the assistance of the Skilled Technical personnel.
Translation - Spanish Capacitación requerida para el técnico especializado
Se requiere que el personal técnico especializado reciba instrucción específica para trabajar en el elevador montacargas y que posea un entrenamiento técnico básico con conocimientos de ingeniería de plantas eléctricas, electromecánica y mecánica. Tal personal debe estar calificado para operar el sistema eléctrico en conformidad con la normativa legal y previsiones vigentes. Debe conocer además los límites de uso y los usos clasificados como indebidos.
El técnico especializado debe estar capacitado en la operación del elevador montacargas, en los dispositivos de seguridad instalados y su correcto uso, y en los procedimientos a seguir en caso de que la jaula se detenga en el recorrido o ante la ocurrencia de una parada de emergencia por acción de uno o más dispositivos de seguridad. Debe estar informado sobre cómo solucionar las fallas más comunes y conocer el cronograma de mantenimiento establecido por el fabricante. Esta instrucción debe ser impartida por personal especializado del fabricante o su representante autorizado, al momento de entrega del elevador montacargas.
El técnico especializado debe conocer perfectamente las leyes y normas aplicables para la prevención de accidentes, debe estar autorizado para actuar en la planta, y debe dejar constancia escrita que ha sido capacitado por el personal técnico especializado del fabricante y que ha leído y comprendido el contenido de este manual así como la documentación técnica adjunta a la orden. Siempre que sea necesario actuar en la planta , en caso de fallas operativas o cuando se deba ejecutar el cronograma de mantenimiento, es necesario contar con la asistencia del personal técnico especializado.

I graduated from the Universidad de la República in Uruguay with a B.A. in chemical engineering and, after completing my undergraduate degree, studied business administration at the Universidad de Montevideo.
For 20 years I worked as a professional for multi-national corporations, in a software and process consulting firm and in the insurance business. During this period I travelled and lived abroad, performing my work in both Spanish and English.
From 2000 to 2010 I held managerial positions in the corporate world and ended this period as Country Manager of an U.S. life insurance company in Uruguay, in charge of all the areas within the company.
During all these years I have acquired an extensive vocabulary in the fields related to the different positions I have held. And, as I am still an engineer and love solving problems, I greatly enjoy finding the appropriate word when something new comes up.
