I'm Lau, an EN>SP (US/Latam) translator, proofreader, and QAer. I have been working mainly in the field of Health Sciences for 10 years now.

I'm a self-taught person, extremely curious, and always willing to learn new stuff. These traits help me constantly improve myself and excel at what I do, and are the reason why I'm chosen for 'unconventional' assignments too.

Despite being a translator, I have done many projects that are not directly related to translating itself. Additional tasks include: reordering bi- or tricolumns Word files in order for them to match the original file (usually PDFs), manually extracting text to Word in order to process the file in CAT tools, converting Word files into editable PDFs, creating bug reports for audio-video synchronization checks, etc.

But that's not all. I'm also a detail-driven person and love doing my bit in every step of each process. That is why I also provide other services like:
* Post-DTP checks/reviews,
* Updates, and
* Alignments to create TMs (Trados Studio or memoQ).
