Source text - English The most common factor behind this disease (CVI) is venous hypertension (which may be caused by prolonged standing or an obstruction in the venous network, etc.) cusing stasis, dilation of the veins and valve incompetence.
Incompetent valves allow blood to flow back from the deep veins through the perforator veins. This venous backflow (reflux) into the superficial venous system reinforces venous hypertension and normal capillary pressure can rise to 90 mmHg.
This increase in pressure leads to a fluid and electrolyte imbalance in capillary-tissue exchange, which causes the formation of oedema (excess fluid in the tissues). The stagnation of excess protein macromulecules maintains fluid extravasation, which further exacerbates the oedema. In addition, fibrosis of the connective tissue gradually develops with the onset of skin disorders (hyperkaratosis, varicose eczema, purpuric pigmented dermatitis, etc.) which may progress to the formation of a venous ulcer, the last stage of CVI.

En el área de estudio, entre enero febrero de 2011 se registró un total de seis especies de mamíferos marinos, cuatro del Orden Cetartiodactyla (ballena de Bryde, orca, tonina, y franciscana) y dos del Orden Carnivora (lobo y león marino sudamericano). Con excepción de la ballena de Bryde, las demás especies de mamíferos marinos son frecuentes de observar en aguas uruguayas. El registro de la ballena de Bryde representa el primer avistaje de la especie y la segunda ocurrencia para Uruguay. Su primer registro fue un varamiento de un individuo de 11,5m de longitud en la playa de Arachania, Departamento de Rocha en enero de 2006 (García & Tarnawski 2008) . Esta especie habita exclusivamente aguas tropicales y templadas por encima de los 20° C. Raramente excede su distribución los 35° de latitud N y S, con tendencia a distribuirse en las escasas zonas de alta productividad tropicales y subtropicales (Bastida et al. 2007).
Las especies encontrada corresponden al 16% y 8,7% del total de especies de los órdenes Cetartiodactyla y Carnivora registradas en Uruguay, 25 y 23 respectivamente (Mones et al. 2003). Sin embargo, actualmente el número de especies del primero ha aumentado a 30 (Praderi et al 2005, Laporta et al.). Uruguay se caracteriza por presentar diversos registros de varamientos de especies de mamíferos marinos, en particular cetáceos, de forma ocasional, pero las especies residentes o habituales de sus costas son relativamente pocas: franciscana, tonina, ballena franca austral (no observada en este estudio por ocurrir entre agosto y noviembre) y la orca. Entre los Pinnípedos, el león y lobo marino sudamericano son los más frecuentes y residentes, si bien existen registros de otras especies.
La orca es una especie poco frecuente en aguas costeras uruguayas (Iriarte 2006) . Sin embargo es abundante y frecuente de observar en aguas de la plataforma y talud continental (Passadore et al. 2009 ).

This audio guide will help you to locate and appreciate some of the many wonders of this building - its past and its present role, its Christian life and its unparalleled historical treasures.
Before you begin your tour, please just take a few seconds to become familiar with how this guide works: it’s quite easy.
First of all, if the volume isn’t right, just press the arrows, up and down, at the bottom of the keypad to adjust it.
Pause
As you move around the Abbey, we will point out the most important things to see and we will ask you to press numbers, up to number 23. After each section, you will hear a beep that signals that this section is complete. This machine then switches off automatically. Wait for this beep. Then, when you have moved on, you’ll need to press a new number and `Play’ to restart the tour.
We’ll tell you what number comes next – it will correspond to a sign, or signs, in that part of the Abbey and to the numbers on the small leaflet you may have picked up as you came in.

You are one of almost two million people who visit here every year from all over the world. So many people feel that the Abbey has an attraction or meaning for them.
At the Reformation almost 500 years ago, the authority of the Pope was rejected and the monarch instead became the supreme governor of the Church of England. Today, the Abbey has a special part in the worldwide Anglican Communion that has evolved since then.
The Abbey was founded as a Benedictine monastery. To this day, worship is still its main purpose. Prayers are daily offered to God and you are welcome to join us for one of our regular services at any time after your tour.
Also, you may be interested to know that, every hour, we pause in the hurly-burly of tourists and pilgrims for one minute of quiet prayer, broadcast across the Abbey. If this occurs during your tour, please do join us if you would like to - or respect the wishes of others to do so.

As you stand with your back to the entrance, ahead of you, high up on the opposite wall, beyond the chandeliers, you will see the magnificent round Rose window. It represents the preparation of the world for Christ and is peopled with prophets, saints, angels and symbolic figures. It’s a fairly new addition to the Abbey, dating back to 1902.

Congratulations on the purchase of your Lexibook TM240 series PERSONNAL ASSISTANT. This new PERSONNAL ASSISTANT generation includes many useful features designed to ease the organization of your daily schedule and personal information.
The CD-ROM included contains Lexibook’s SyncMan®2 software program for installation on a personal computer. Together with Internet access, you can connect to Lexibook’s exclusive Internet services site at https//my.lexibook.com, which provides both useful and interesting information that you can download to your personal computer and then synchronize* with your TM240.
*Some information may not always be able to be synchronized with your TM240.
Before you start using the TouchMan® 240 Series, you must carefully remove the static label protecting the LCD display and pull out the plastic battery tab at the back of the unit. After you have done this, you need to reset the unit. To do so,
1. Insert a blunt object such as an opened paper clip into the RESET hole (at the back of the unit) and press gently. RESET ? will be displayed on the screen.
2. Press OK to confirm. Display shows RESET ! during the reset period (just a few seconds).
3. Then the display shows local time screen.
Note: Doing a reset will delete all information stored in the unit as well as the secret code if unit has been used previously.
Switching the unit on and off:
Press ON/OFF icon key to switch the unit on or off.
TouchMan TM240 PERSONNAL ASSISTANT will power-off automatically after 5 minutes if unused.
Battery replacement:
1. Switch your unit off and open the battery cover at the back of the unit.
2. Replace used battery with a new, high quality CR2032 cell battery with (+) polarity facing up.
Notice: There are two batteries. The left one is for the main unit operation. The right one is for screen backlight. If only the backlight has stopped working, change the battery on the right ONLY. If the PDA screen contrast is very low or does it not turn ON, change the left battery and then check whether the backlight works properly. If so, there is no need to change the right battery.
Display shows RESET?. Select N and press OK, or press the N key to NOT reset the unit and keep your information stored in the memory.
IMPORTANT! Be sure to complete battery replacement within 1 minute in order to keep your stored information safe.
