Confirm date and cost of this courseJun 15, 2010

Hi, I registered for this course on June 8th, I was charged 20 USD (invoice 1706017). According to the information showed when I registered, this course was supposed to be on June 17th. I checked the webpage today and I found out that the date and price have been modified. Could you please confirm the date and time? Why was I charged a higher price? Thanks

Session was postponed Jun 15, 2010

Dear lumor,

Thanks for bringing this up.

On June 8 ProZ.com announced that this the other two webinars in the series had to be postponed, as the presenter had a family emergency - all registrants were notified via email.
Looks like you bought last minute just about then, and probably saw the old date in a newsletter or mailing, hence the confusion.

For the sake of clarity, I repeat the dates:

Looks like you bought last minute just about then, and probably saw the old date in a newsletter or mailing, hence the confusion.

For the sake of clarity, I repeat the dates:

July 1 - http://www.proz.com/training/3422 An introduction to
translating for film and television
July 8 - http://www.proz.com/training/3427 Technical aspects of
subtitling
July 15 - http://www.proz.com/training/3433 Creative translation
for the moving image

All those that registered with the previous dates, were requested to submit a support request to solicit a refund if you were not be able to attend or if there was a price difference. Please, if this is your case please open a support request at: http://www.proz.com/training/support .

Good question about different prices and discounted offers. Note that webinars and other sessions are in general announced about a month in advance. During the first weeks (sometimes even a month) there are discounts for those that purchase in advance, then the last minute price raises. When a new edition of a session is conducted, as in this case, the same happens: seats will be the cheapest the sooner the session is announced, that is why early booking is always recommended. In some other cases it is only the first 5 or 10 seats that have a discount and then the prices increases gradually. In general these offers appear in announcements in newsletters or pages - at this moment for instance most webinars are only 10 USD for those that join during the campaign.

Hope this was of help. Please contact site staff via support for the pending issue.

Regards,

Soledad

Will the video be available?>Jul 4, 2010

Dear Soledad

I really want to attend this course, but I won't be available on the 8th of July. If I register and pay the fee normally, will it be possible to watch the video later? Or the video will be sold on demand afterwards?

All the best,

Vanessa

If you prefer not to, the video will still be available for purchase a few days after the webinar.

Hope this answered your question.

This session was very helpfulJul 9, 2010

Paul is a great instructor. He recaps what he covered in the previous session and gives ample visual examples to illustrate each point he is explaining. Concerning the future courses he will offer through Proz, I'd like to use this opportunity to request that they be presented in English as well as French. They all sound very interesting.

Hi,

When will the video be made available? I had internet connection issues and ended up listening to most of the conference via conf call and therefore didn't see most of the visual presentation!

Thanks in advance,

video of the seminarJul 12, 2010

Hi,
I registered and paid for this webinar, and I received the emails inviting me. Unfortunately I had no internet access at the scheduled time. Now when I click on the link in my email it takes me to a page that says "Webinar unavailable". How can I access the training material now?

I realize this issue is addressed in the post above, but that is dated 9 July and as I write it is 12 July.

Thanks
Richard
