Neste breve workshop, discutiremos os principais temas de interesse para tradutores jurídicos que se dedicam à tradução nesta área – seja para sentenças de divórcio no exterior, guarda de filhos, separação de bens ou testamentos. Examinaremos as diferenças entre tutela e curatela, regime de bens, testamento e arrolamento; trataremos de terminologia específica como bens aquestos, formal de partilha, etc. Aberto a tradutores de todos os idiomas que tenham o português do Brasil como uma de suas línguas de trabalho.

Recommendations

• For the visual section of the training course, we recommend that you have a 64kbps link. This means using an ISDN line or Broadband. Wireless connection is NOT recommended.
• For the audio section of the training course, we recommend that you have a headset or speakers.
• We recommend that you log in 30 minutes in advance of the start time to prepare for the training course.

Bio: A tradutora Ana Luiza Iaria tem ampla experiência em tradução, atuando como tal desde 1990, após carreira como advogada e professora de português. Bacharel em Direito pela Universidade de São Paulo, foi aprovada no exame da OAB e, durante alguns anos, exerceu a profissão de advogada. De 1990 a 1999, atuou como tradutora, principalmente na área jurídica, em São Paulo.
Em 1999 mudou-se para o Reino Unido onde reside até hoje. Em 2004 obteve grau de Mestre em Ciência (MSc) em Tradução Científica, Médica e Técnica com Tecnologia da Tradução pelo Imperial College London. Desde 2004 leciona neste mesmo curso; dentre as disciplinas, prática de tradução, teoria de tradução e tecnologia.

Regulamente apresenta trabalhos em congressos internacionais, tanto na área jurídica quanto em tecnologia. É Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting; Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, ambos no Reino Unido; também é Chartered Linguist (Translator); membro da American Translators Association e da Assocation for Machine Translation in the Americas.

I missed the actual webinar because I was attending a conference, but would like to listen to the recording. Please let me know where I can either listen or download the recording.
