Dopo altre ricerche ho trovato anche " a sé stanti" oppure - aggiungo io - "di nicchia". Comunque direi che sono tutte soluzioni di cui potresti eventualmente cercare riscontri ulteriori sia in base al contesto generale (che hai già detto essere abbastanza limitato) sia attraverso ricerche specifiche relative alle figure di Sami H. e Stephan H.
