I studied translation and interpreting at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne for 1 year. My main languages were English and Spanish, plus cultural studies of the respective countries.
I then changed to the Sprachen- and Dolmetscherinstitut (Language and Interpreting Institute) in Munich, were I specialised on the subject areas engineering and natural sciences. From there I graduated as a state-certified translator for the two subjects.
After that I moved to Edinburgh and started a Masters Degree in translation and technology at Heriot-Watt University.
I later went on to study for a Masters in Conference Interpreting at Westminster University in London.

I have been working as a freelance translator and interpreter for 13 years now.

All translations into English are carried out by a native speaking colleague or are being proofread by an English native speaker.

I outsource projects in any combination between the following languages: English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French.
