@Tomasso Tomasso, the lecture on how to translate properly is unnesassary as we are all professionals here. While there are times when the translator can (and should) take liberties with the writings of someone else, this is NOT the case here. This is a guided tour where a person/hiker is following directions from headphones on their ears as they walk/hike. Taking the liberty of re-writing these directions poses the danger of getting the person lost, or at the very least confused. Regarding La vie en rose by Edith Piaf, well, we all know that poetry & songs frequently require rewriting to maintain rhyme, rhythm, etc., whereas in this case it is straightforward directions to be followed.

I was proposing a complete rewrite of an entire paragraph, la senda termina en un circulo, (only a sugestion) is not very loyal to original. There exists a conflict between styles....To me, often an entire translation can be rewritten to convey the essential.....(ex La vie en rose, Edith Piaf, from the original by Carlo Butti)

@Taña Thanks! I think 'ramificación' might fit well. Es una ramificación en el camino que termina en una vía muerta.

senda, Pues no es muy formal, segun su audiencia, talvez *senda*, una senda hacia un lado....surgencias? pues senda sin salida. (Si son muchas sendas enredadas es una conejeria.....rabbit trail? ) Una vez llendo camino por arriba, vez dentro de poco una sendita a la derecha que ternina en el circulo.....

Las opciones de Wilsonn y Liliana son buenas pero no me parece que se ajusten a este contexto. Se trata de un pequeño desvío en el camino principal que conduce a una vía muerta o sin salida.
