I started translating in 2001, motivated by my experiences of living abroad and encountering new cultures (I lived in the United States from 1992 to 1993 and in Sweden from 1998 to 2004). While continuing... with the practice of translating, I studied a BA in Linguistics and Phonetics at Stockholms Universitet and, more recently, a Masters of Advanced Studies in Translation and Translation Studies at El Colegio de México.
