Bio:I took my master's degree in Translation and Interpretation at the University of Genoa on July 9th, 2013. I did a free traineeship as a literary translator for the Consulate of Ecuador in Genoa. Now, a year later, I am contributing with the same institution to a non-pro...fit translation project, whose final goal is publishing an anthology of poems about migration written by various authors. Finally, of course, I am trying to find a job as a translator and get paid.

Bio:I am a secondary school teacher and a supposedly versatile tri-lingual freelance translator (English, Spanish, Italian).
Though experienced in technical and scientific fields, I increasingly find myself dealing with far more challenging translations of ancient prose ...and poetry. A blended expertise, thus, where interest in science technicalities, and love of literature seem to harmonize.
As a teacher, I develop my day-to-day lessons according to the latest techniques such as tasks, cooperative learning, grammar reflection, communicative and eclectic method, conceptual maps, striving for a quite different approach from standard teaching.
As a freelance translator (English and Spanish) I’ve always combined fast response, precision, formal accuracy with the use of technology as a tool to increase my reliability.
I studied at the University of Trento (Italy), where I graduated in English and Spanish language. As a student, I spent extended periods abroad, the most relevant of which is a nine-months scholarship at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
In 1998 I worked as a tourist guide for The Vittoriale, the house/museum of the poet Gabriele d’Annunzio in Gardone Riviera, Lake Garda.
A few months later, I started my career as export manager for Fondital Group, an Italian worldwide leading company in the field of heating systems. I consequently spent long periods abroad across Europe, Middle East and South America, working closely with local customers and representatives, with whom I successfully led complex negotiations.
In 2002 I decided to get a master degree in Human Resources Management at HKE (Human Knowledge Europe - Milan).
From 2003 to 2007 I worked as a fundraiser for the Science Museum of Trento, establishing long-lasting and profitable relationships with Italian and foreign companies.
In 2007 I began teaching languages in secondary school and, since then, I've never stopped studying the latest and most effective methods of conveying knowledge.
At the same time I started a freelance translation activity. Nowadays, my portfolio ranges from translation agencies, to private and public companies and institutions.
In my free time I write, sing and play my music. Currently, I'm developing a bilingual blog named Compartiendo Tensiones / Sharing Tensions
